Frequently Asked Questions

The questions clients ask most, answered one by one.

5 questions
How do I choose between 3-ply, 5-ply and 7-ply board?

Match the board to the protection you need. 3-ply single-wall suits short-haul light packaging and is the best value; 5-ply double-wall is the balanced all-rounder for appliances and electronics; 7-ply triple-wall carries up to 500 kg and is made for replacing wooden and steel crates around heavy equipment.

Can 7-ply board replace wooden crates for fumigation-free export?

Yes. 7-ply high-strength board is exempt from ISPM-15 fumigation and can be exported directly. It weighs 40% less than a wooden crate, removes the 3–7 day quarantine cycle and fumigation cost, and eliminates the risk of mould and insect damage.

Where should moisture-resistant board be used?

In sea containers, during the humid rainy season and in damp warehouses. Coated moisture-resistant board keeps its compression strength in high humidity and at sea, so no extra barrier film is needed and packing is simpler.

What are the minimum order quantity and lead time?

Standard volume orders ship in 2–3 working days. Smaller orders are priced by actual area, with a set-up charge below the volume threshold; combined large orders waive it, and 7-ply heavy board is scheduled first.

Are there any hidden charges in the quotation?

None. Each quotation itemises linerboard, waste, conversion cost and margin, with no hidden set-up or delivery fees. Annual contract customers get tiered pricing, a 10–15 day price-change buffer and a year-end cash rebate.
